What is Coronavirus ?

According to WHO , Coronavirus (Cov) or Covid-19 are a large family of viruses. They consist of the core of genetic material surrounded by an envelope with protein spikes. This gives the appearance of a crown, and hence, this is how the virus is named. The virus causes illness ranging from cold to more severe diseases such as Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS-Cov) and Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARD-CoV).

From where Covid-19 came ?

The first case of the novel virus was founded in Wuhan, China, but now this deadly virus is reported to many countries. In December 2010, investigators found that there was a cluster of pneumonia cases in China caused by an unknown virus which is now known as Coronavirus or Covid-19. It originated with people with pneumonia who had been associated with seafood and the live animal market in Wuhan, China. Diseases then spread through people who were sick to family members, others, and healthcare workers. The exact transmission of this virus is yet to be determined. Today, authorities in 167 countries and territories have reported more than 193,475 affected cases and a death ratio of 7,864.

How does it spread ?

The coronavirus appears to spread from person to person among those in close contact. It is spread by respiratory droplets when someone is infected with the virus cough or sneezes or something that is being contaminated by the virus. It is still unclear exactly how contagious the virus is.
